How do I turn on two-step verification?

Turn on two-step verification with an authenticator app in Settings → Security, and save your recovery codes.

  1. Open Settings → Security and start setting up two-step verification.

  2. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app, such as 1Password, Google Authenticator, or Authy.

  3. Enter the 6-digit code the app shows. It's submitted as soon as you type the sixth digit.

  4. Save your recovery codes somewhere safe. Each works once, and they're shown only now.

From then on, you enter a code from the app when you sign in. If you lose your phone, a recovery code gets you in.

Workspaces can require two-step verification for every member. If yours does, Granite asks you to set it up when you sign in.
