How do I use Zapier, Make, n8n, or another automation tool?

Zapier, Make, n8n, Pipedream, Activepieces, Power Automate, IFTTT, and webhooks send requests to your Granite URL with an action key.

Automation tools talk to Granite with a simple web request. Use them to file new leads, log form answers, or save anything from 7,000+ apps as notes.

  1. In Settings → Integrations, install the tool. Granite shows a Granite URL and an action key. Copy the key now: it's shown only once. New key replaces it later.

  2. In your workflow, add an HTTP or webhook step (in Zapier, Webhooks by Zapier → Custom Request) with method POST and the Granite URL.

  3. Add the header Authorization: Bearer followed by your action key.

  4. Send a JSON body that says what to do, for example:

    {"action": "create", "folder": "Leads", "title": "Acme Inc.", "content": "Asked for a demo."}

Actions include create, append, daily, capture, search, list, and read. The answer includes the note's path and link.

IFTTT can't set headers: add ?key= and your action key to the end of the Granite URL instead.
